Government Grants

The government of Malaysia, through MITI and SMIDEC, has provided financial incentive in the form of matching grant to encourage Malaysian companies to adopt and implement RosettaNet. For the direct model, the grant is 50% matching up to RM100,000 and for the ASP model, the matching is 70% up to RM30,000. For more information, visit http://www.smidec.gov.my/ or http://www.miti.gov.my/. RosettaNet Malaysia is actively promoting the ASP model to encourage more SMEs (tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers) to e-connect to local big companies (tier 1 suppliers) who are already connected to the MNCs (global buyers) so that Malaysia can e-connect to the global supply chain and stay competitive in the global economy.

RosettaNet - ASP Model
The Scheme provides assistance to local small and medium enterprises in the Electrical and Electronics (E&E) sector to implement RosettaNet, an internet based common messaging standard for global supply chain management. It enables companies in the supply chain to communicate and conduct business electronically through common codes for sourcing of parts and components.

RosettaNet - Direct Model
The government has allocated RM5 mil as a grant or local Electrical and Electronic (E&E) companies to implement RosettaNet, an internet based common messaging standard for global supply chain management. It enables companies in the supply chain to communicate and conduct business electronically through common codes for sourcing of parts and components.
It is aimed at preparing Malaysian companies for early adoption and implementation of global supply chain management system.
With the adoption of the RosettaNet standard, local companies would be able to conduct business through electronic means with their partners, suppliers and buyers; and enjoy the benefits of reduced inventory costs, time to market and lower transaction costs.
