About RosettaNet Malaysia

RosettaNet Malaysia was set-up in January 2002 as an non-profit organization to promote and facilitate the adoption and implementation of RosettaNet e-business standards amongst MNCs and SMEs in Malaysia.

RosettaNet Malaysia is affiliated with RosettaNet (Global) http://www.rosettanet.org/, a non-profit global organization dedicated to the creation, promotion and proliferation of this open e-business process standards worldwide.

By adopting RosettaNet standards, companies in Malaysia will not only improve productivity and quality of their data processing and interchange, but they will be able to e-connect to the global supply chain as RosettaNet is a open standards using the internet superhighway to exchange business information.affiliate to promote the adoption of the standards in Malaysia.

The Organisation Today

RosettaNet Malaysia’s Board of Directors (aka Council) consists of members from MNCs, local companies, association and government agencies. The chairperson is MITI. The office of RosettaNet Malaysia is located in Bayan Baru, Penang where there is the highest concentration of electronics manufacturing industries in Malaysia. Any company or organization can join RosettaNet Malaysia as a member to enjoy the privileges and benefits provided.

About RosettaNet

RosettaNet, a non-profit global organization dedicated to the creation, promotion and proliferation of this open e-business process standards worldwide.

Members from major industry players in hi-tech (electronic components "EC"; semiconductor manufacturing "SM"), logistics, solution providers (SP) and adjacent industries (information technology "IT"; telecommunication) are collaborating to develop and support the business process standards across the global supply chain.

Besides RosettaNet Malaysia, there are similar consortium in USA, Europe, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, China, Thailand and the Philippines.

Why RosettaNet

By seeking to identify all common busienss-to-business touch points between trading partners in the supply chain, such collective efforts are aimed to lower transaction costs and accelerate time-to-market.

By implementing the RosettaNet standards, companies will be able communicate electronically with other companies already using the same e-business standards, making business document exchange not only paperless but touchless, that is, without the need for human intervention. Without the need to reenter data, processing cycle time is reduced and data entry errors avoided.
