PENANG, Malaysia , 16 th April 2007 – RosettaNet Malaysia together with Intel Malaysia , Kenshi Singapore Pte. Ltd., GridNode Pte. Ltd. and CrimsonLogic eTrade Services Pte. Ltd. have created a RosettaNet Automated Enablement (RAE) showcase. This showcase is a proof of concept showcase where the solution providers performed a live demonstration on how RAE works. This showcase had attracted more than 50 participants from the MNCs and local SMEs attending this showcase and this showcase is to help them learn how RAE can help the community by enabling business to get onboard the global supply chain in the most simple, straight forward and cost effective manner. “In Malaysia , it's not surprising approximate 99.2% of business in Malaysia are from SMEs. Mr. Cheong Yeow Heng, the standards analyst (on loan from Intel) of RosettaNet Engineering presented the RAE with titled the challenges and opportunities. In his presentation, he has addressed the B2B integration challenges encountered by SMEs and MNCs, the RAE architecture flow and some business values of deploying RAE solutions. “RosettaNet is a common language for business within global supply chain network. One significant feature RAE possesses is validate-once-use-many capability. Apart from that, the deployment timeline have tremendously improved from 8weeks to 2 weeks for RAE thus enabling better resource channeling” said William Tay, Intel RosettaNet Deployment lead while sharing Intel testimony during the event. Kenshi Singapore , a semi-conductor test solution provider is one of the pioneer RAE user said the RAE has the uncompromising reliability and security that has proven to be a sound investment for everyone continuity in this ever changing economic climate. After the testimony sharing from the RAE users, Intel Technologies and Kenshi Singapore Pte. Ltd., two solution providers of RosettaNet Malaysia have been so supportive have come all the way Singapore to share with the participants the RAE solution with proof of concept demonstration. Thomas Yee, the CEO of GridNode Pte Ltd has clearly identified the main B2B adoption barriers for SMEs, such as lack of back end system to integrate with, high implementation cost , minimum IT resources, lack of IT infrastructure capability and long implementation time. Thomas Yee together with Wong Kim Siong had demonstrated how their RAE products, GridLite Agent, through the use of standard email client and GridLite Client, using a light weight software application , have been proven in their customer communities to have overcome those barriers effectively. Mr. Simon Lai, Head of Business Development, CrimsonLogic eTrade Services, presented the value proposition of RosettaNet RAE to SME suppliers. In his presentation, he has shared some statistics in suppliers' connection. He felt the top 20%, which typically forms the first-tier suppliers, would go for RosettaNet host to host connection; 70% of the second-tier suppliers would go for host to web solution and the balance 10% would go for RosettaNet RAE solution. Also, in his presentation, SME suppliers adopting RosettaNet RAE do not need to purchase any additional tools to receive RosettaNet message as SME will receive the PDF message through email. The channel master do not need to invest in form design tool, merge tool, and extract tool to convert PIP to PDF message; In fact, they can reuse their current RosettaNet engines to send TPIR-PIP to their suppliers. CrimsonLogic eTrade Services also gave a demonstration on how easy RosettaNet RAE works. Event Overview
